Liverpool may have to tighten their grips on Serbian Marko Grujic before they lost him to Bayern Munich or Lazio.
Grujic who is currently on loan at German side Hertha Berlin is delivering the goods at the club. But that has not stopped interests from swirling for the player’s services.
According to the Sun, Bayern and Lazio are keen on the midfielder who is impressing on loan at Hertha.
His praising performance at the middle of the park for the Bundesliga side has earned him some accolades from the club’s manager Pal Dardai.
In 14 appearances, the 22-year-old has scored three goals and registered one assist for the club, a good score that will easily snuff out the whole tally registered among Reds midfielders: Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Gini Wijnaldum and Fabinho–just six shared between them.
It could difficult for Reds to hold on to the 22-year-old whose swashbuckling rendition for the German side has seen him get a nomination for the “Rookie of the Year” award in Germany.
“Marko is by far the best midfielder I’ve seen in my time at the club,” commended Dardai, who has been a huge admirer of the midfielder.
Liverpool’s midfield needs the presence of a powerful midfielder, and all that they have in Grujic. If he returns and they can solidly hold on to him, it would make them even more competitive next season.
