Jurgen Klopp is looking to strengthen his bid for German star and Borussia Monchengladbach defender Matthias Ginter at the end of the season.
Ginter has been catching the eye at the Kop and Klopp is willing to throw a bold shot at the defender.
Reds boast the best defensive record in the Premier League so far this season, conceding a tally of 15 goals in 28 Premier League matches.
Klopp is quite acquainted with the talented Ginter after signing him few years back during his long spell at Borussia Dortmund.
The 25-year-old could be on his way to England to add to the ranks of top defenders that have helped the German boss build a strong wall against Premier League opponents.
Klopp splurged around 8 million pound for Ginter then, and he is likely to spend more to get him to play at Anfield for the Reds.
Calciomercato says Klopp is keen on bringing on his compatriot, and could ask the club to ship off Joel Matip elsewhere, clearing the road for Ginter’s arrival.
But, Reds still face a difficult task as they’ll have to fend off interests from Premier League rivals Tottenham and Arsenal who have locked their gaze on Ginter.
Meanwhile, Reds are ready to land the famous Timo Werner who is still on their radar after they fail to prise him away in January. The 22-year-old has banged 13 goals in all competitions this season for RB Leipzig.
