Liverpool star Divock Origi’s performance for Reds has dipped this term, and Reds are keen on flogging the out-of-shape star.
The Belgian striker is at the bottom of the pecking order at Anfield, the last on the queue of fine strikers at Klopp’s disposal. Reds have been looking to kick him out of their wage bill for long now and interests from French Ligue One side Nantes could lift the huge weight of paying the player’s fees of their shoulders.
Nantes are without striker Emiliano Sala who has surprisingly disappeared after his flight to Cardiff to play for the Premier League side crashed.
And now the club desperately need rescuing and have eyed Origi as a possible replacement for Sala.
The transfer window is a little over 24 hours before closure and Nantes are keen on signing the fringe player according to the Daily Star.
Strings of talks have rolled in lately about the authenticity of the claim, however former Nantes player Emmanuel Merceron confirmed Nantes want Origi.
But one problem could stunt the whole process, Origi mammoth salary and the lingering competition over his signature.
materialise this month.
“Because life goes on, but not too keen to linger: the #FCNantes looks Divock original (Liverpool) for a loan,” Merceron tweeted.
“Astronomical salary, big European competition, complicated but on a misunderstanding…
“The NCF would like to make a move for its center-forward.”
