Liverpool news is coming thick and fast. And reports doing the rounds say Liverpool are currently in the lead to sign French midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
The Frenchman’s situation at Paris Saint-Germain has been closely monitored by a host of top European clubs. They are all waiting in the corner to snatch him up. But it is Liverpool who are claimed to have the upper hand over his transfer away from Parc de Princes.
Rabiot was handed a new deal to extend his stay at Paris Saint-Germain, but has refused to put pen to paper, strongly insisting he wants to leave.
PSG have hinted they will not hold the defender back and want to cash in on him in January, rather than let him walk out as a free.
The player’s mother Veronique Rabiot revealed that the relationship between PSG and her son has completely turned sour and it is very likely to remain that way.
Rabiot will remain trimmed out from PSG’s squad according to the club’s sporting director Antero Henrique.
The player has had interests from the La Liga too. Barcelona is said to have reached a personal deal with the player, however, Veronique has rebutted the claim, saying they will not be allowed to discuss with other clubs until January. But she agreed there’s been interest from Barcelona anyways.
