The battle for the top four of the Premier League took a new and interesting twist last weekend. Arsenal and Manchester United interchanged positions but the Reds maintained their fourth place on the log, having played a games more than their rivals.
Since the arrival of Jurgen Klopp, the Reds have somewhat enjoyed stability and they will be expected to push for the title next term. Although, Klopp has a fairly large squad, he is expected to be very pragmatic in his dealing when the transfer window comes alive next summer.
Recent reports have indicated that Liverpool already have players on their radar and top on the list is France international Ousmane Dembele, who plies his trade for Bundesliga Liga outfit Borrussia Dortmund.
The 19-year-old attacker joined Tomas Tuchel’s side Rennes last summer but has assumed the position of a key player following his impressive cameos for the Signa Iduna Park Landlords. He’s been in blistering form this term, scoring seven goals and providing 16 assists across all competitions.
His giants strides for Dortmund has not gone unnoticed in La Liga with Barcelona also in the chase of the player. However, he is sure to feature regularly for Liverpool if he makes the move to join the Reds and Klopp is apparently keen on luring the French.
Klopp once admitted that he is short of attackers which leaves him with no choice than to go all out for an attacker. Dembele can play from the flank or behind the striker and he will give Klopp a very good option in attack.
