Liverpool are willing to sell Serbian international winger Lazar Markovic to Seria A Side Fiorentina, but they are holding out for £16million transfer fee, reports the Express.
Despite starting in Liverpool’s pre-season game against Tranmere Rovers, the Serbian star has been dropped from the Reds squad on tour to the far East, signalling the end his career with Liverpool. Klopp confirmed last week that he no longer needs the player in his squad.
Liverpool have already bolstered their final third with the signing of Dominic Solanke and Mohamed Salah, which sees Markovic as the least choice on the wing.
He has traveled to Italy to hold talks with the Florence Club but there are indication that Liverpool have rebuffed offers for him. He was signed from Benfica in the summer of 2014 for £20million and Liverpool will not budge unless £16million is paid for him.
Fiorentina are not the only Club interested in signing the winger, Watford are also keen on him but they do want to meet the asking price of the Reds. The transfer market is heavily inflated and it is fair that the Anfield outfit are asking for £16million to be paid for him.
Markovic has spent most of his Liverpool career away of the Club. He has toured Fenerbahce, Sporting Cp and Hull City on loan. It is in his best interest that he moves on from the Club.
