Having signed on two players in this transfer window, Chelsea are one of the most active clubs in this transfer window but they are looking to add a midfielder to their plethora of otherwise strong club.
The Blues have been in the pursuit of Leandro Paredes and they have now received a huge boost to sign him after Paris Saint Germain coach Tomas Tuchel revealed PSG move for the player may fall through, per reports.
Following the sale of Cesc Fabregas, Chelsea have been scampering Europe for his replacement and it was widely reported they have identified the Argentine as his replacement.
However PSG were thought to have stolen a march on Chelsea after they reached a €36m agreement with Zenit St Petersburg.
The deal for the player has been dragging on and Tuchel has revealed he is worried, which leaves Chelsea with the hope of signing him.
“We’re waiting for him [Paredes],” said the German (via Goal) after his side’s 4-1 win over Rennes. “I am told it is settled but here is not there.
“I’m worried. We need players!”Maybe even an offensive player since Neymar is injured. We are waiting for Leandro but he is not here.”
Chelsea are looking to cement their place in the top four of the League and Sarri is looking to have at least two good players in every position.
