The Wembley Stadium play host to Arsenal and Chelsea as the London rivals face each other in the Community Shield on Sunday.
Arsene Wenger’s men stopped Antonio Conte from claiming the double in his first season in England. The Blues boss had win the Premier League and was looking forward to adding the FA Cup, but Arsenal put their disappointing season behind them and claimed a 2-1 victory.
Arsenal have not really been active in the transfer market and have made only two signings so far while there are many deadwood in the team Wenger needs to offload before the window closes.
Nevertheless, the Gunners boss will expect his men to put in good performance to set the eight tone for their Premier League title challenge.
The FA Cup holders, however, have won all of their last eight matches at the Stadium so a win could be on the card for them.
Wenger switched to a 3-4-3 formation towards the end of last season and could stick with it in the new season.
Meanwhile, summer arrivals Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac could get the nod to start. Alexis Sanchez could still play some parts in the match following his extended break.
Francis Coquelin will not feature while Mustafi Shkodran is also a doubt. Long-term absentees include Jack Wilshere and Santo Cazorla.
