After being drawn to a long transfer saga, Arsenal are closing in on a deal for their third summer signing Thomas Lemar from Monaco. Should the player complete the deal, he’s bound to slot into the first of Arsenal.
Lemar has been on the transfer radar of Arsenal for a long time but the Ligue 1 Champions have refused the Gunners advances for their star. Arsenal’s latest offer of £45million was rebuffed by Monaco but the Gunners are now nearing a £50million deal after he agreed personal terms for Arsenal switch.
Arsene Wenger has already added Alexandre Lacazett and Sead Kolasinac to his team. The aforementioned players have begun adapting to the rigours of the League and they will definitely be in Wenger’s first team.
Lemar plays predominantly on the wings but with Sanchez occupying the left wing for the Gunners, Lemar will be the man to pay on the right wing for Arsenal. The left footer is skillful and is adept and taking set pieces.
Arsene Wenger has a plethora of attacking options but there is uncertainty over the future of Oliver Giroud, and Lucas Perez, leaving him with fewer choice. However, the signing of Lemar, will see Walcott, Chamberlain and Welbeck all fighting for a place in that position.
We this this is how Arsenal will line-up.
