Liverpool are keen on signing Sporting Lisbon CP midfielder Bruno Fernandes.
The Reds have long been linked with a move to sign the midfielder and are looking to step up their interest further more as city rivals Everton have entered the race to pick him up.
Sporting CP is going through a thick web of crises and has lost a good number of its players. The same could be for Bruno whose price tag has been set at a very steep price.
According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, both Merseysiders are keen on hiring the midfielder’s services.
Fernandes has been impressive for Lisbon and has been grabbing the headlines, forcing clubs to race down to sign him quickly.
Fernandes’ goal tally is six, so far this campaign, and has laid on five assists this term for Lisbon, but Liverpool will have to spend big to bring the bright midfielder to Anfield.
A staggering 100 million euro has been slapped on the midfielder, whose contract will terminate in 2023. But another report has claimed the player can be prised away from Lisbon for around less than half that price fee.
Liverpool can get the player at the cut-price fee of 40 million euros.
The Reds are chasing their first silverware since 2005 as they lead champions Manchester City by four points on the table.
