Just in: €65m-rated attacker tacitly sends ‘a come and get me plea’ to Chelsea, Arsenal interested

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang opened his scoring account as Borussia Dortmund put three goals past Wolfsburg, with the star striker scoring one to continue to his goal per game ratio of 1.0 recorded last season. Aubameyang’s goal scoring record may be superb for Dortmund but he continues to drop hints over a possible switch away from Germany.

The Gabon international has once more stated that he would like to leave the German club in a bid to explore new challenges elsewhere. Having spent four seasons with the Die Borussen, the 28-year-old knows age is not on his side if he is to win major honours hence his remark.

“This club and these fans are incredible, but if I want to grow, I feel I need to leave.”

“This is the question I keep on asking myself – and I don’t have an answer. I need time to think about it. If I want to grow, I surely need to leave this summer. I am 28 and I need to grow. If I leave, it will only be somewhere I would play regularly.”

Whilst it is believed he will be staying at Dortmund this season, he could yet be up for sale next summer if he pushes for transfer. The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City are reported to be on the player’s radar, with Chelsea ranking top on the totem pole of EPL clubs vying for his signature.

The Blues are set to offload Diego Costa who has gone AWOL to home country Brazil. The Brazilian looks set to broker a move out of Stamford Bridge after receiving a text from Antonio Conte that he considered an outsider in the manager’s plans for this season.

Aubameyang is also linked with a move to AC Milan but there are no substantial evidence to corroborate the claim either.

According to transfermarkt, Aubameyang is valued at 65,00 Mill. €.
