Jurgen Klopp delivers latest update on Virgil Van Dijk move to Liverpool

The fans of Liverpool are currently unhappy over the lack of transfer activities at the Club despite the obvious need of reinforcing their squad.

Liverpool have signed on Mohamed Salah and Dominic Solanke but despite keen interest in Naby Keita and Virgil Van Dijk, no progress have been made in their pursuit.

Jurgen Klopp has been quizzed over the lack of transfers and the German tactician remained coy over his next move.

The Mugsmashers have been credited with a move for Van Dijk since the winter transfer window but they were eventually forced to an apology over an approach for the centre-back.

The Dutch defender was on the radar of Chelsea and Man United, with the aforementioned Clubs not his chase anymore, there are now wide speculations that he could seal a move to Anfield.

“Am I allowed to talk about this? I am not!” Klopp told Liverpool Tp when quizzed about a move for Van Dijk.

“Pretty much everything I could say would be a mistake. You or your colleagues wrote everything about this a few weeks ago.

“I was in Iceland by the way when somebody told me this was in the newspaper.

“Nothing happened since then, all good so far, so I can’t say anything about this.”

The future of Mamadou Sakho has been a subject of huge speculation since fallen out with Klopp on their pre-season tour last season. Sakho turned up late for the Reds pre-season tour last summer and was sent back home by Klopp, which signaled the beginning of the end of his career.’

The player is currently undergoing rehabilitation from a knee injury. Crystal Palace are in his chase but his £30m price tag, seem to have thrown his potential suitor away.
