The Arsenal fans were hysterical over the news that long-term target Julian Draxler has been made available by Paris Saint-Germain, with most fans urging the Arsene Wenger to sanction a deal for the German trickster. However, fresh report suggest that there hopes are set to be dashed.
Barely six months after Draxler joined PSG, he has seen himself fall down the pecking order of attackers at the club. Up until this summer, the 23-year-old was the toast of the French press, but the arrival of Neymar Junior seems to have eclipsed the former Schalke O4 star.
News filtered out that PSG have told Draxler the he can leave and this has alerted the interest of fans of top Premier Leagues, with the Arsenal fans top on the totem pole. However, the statement by the player’s agent Roger Wittmann will dash whatever hopes they must have mustered.
When quizzed about his client’s future, Wittmann was apt to reply that He “doesn’t care. There’s no sign of a change.”
Also stating emphatically that Draxler is “untransferable”.
Arsenal are yet to convince Alexis Sanchez to sign a new contract but they could yet sell the 28-year-old for a younger player who offers similar pace and panache from the wings.
PSG have a task of aligning with the UEFA FFP regulations as they are in a deficit owing to the £190 million transfer of Neymar from Barcelona, hence no hope is lost for the Gunners fans.
