Apparently, there is no love lost between Arsenal manger Arsene Wenger and the manager of Manchester United Jose Mourinho. The pair are remembered for always taking a swipe at each other in the media and oh, the touch line burst up between them in 2014 while the Special One was still at the helms of Chelsea’s affairs.
Both managers have bolstered their squad with a defender and a striker respectively this summer but Jose Mourinho has mocked up Arsene Wenger over signing Alexandre Lacazette with claims that the French striker has “no stamina, no physical impact and is not a big game player, reports the Express.
Jose Mourinho was reportedly in the chase of Lacazette for the past six month but having watched the player closely, the Portuguese tactician decided that he will not make his attack thick. Hence, United went on to sign Lukaku whose physical presence than his goal scoring prowess in attack is obvious.
Man United made Lukaku the most expensive player in the world after paying up to £100m and allowing Rooney move to Goodison Park. Although Lukaku scored 25 League goals last season but fans of Man United have fingered Jose Mourinho for reckless spending.’
Meanwhile, Arsenal’s interest in Alexandre Lacazette dates back to last summer when they saw offers for him rebuffed. He joined Arsenal in a Club record fee of £52million, which is justified in this heavily inflated transfer window – Lacazette scored 100 goals in 203 league appearances for Lyon.
“In the end he wasn’t considered because he has no stamina, no physical impact and isn’t a big game player.”
In the end what justifies the stamina of a striker is his ability in front of goal and not just physical presence. See stats between Lacazette and Lukaku.
