Jose Mourinho unveils Manchester United grand plan for summer transfer window

As it is given, the Premier League title chase is well and truly over and Jose Mourinho must start planning on how he’ll dethrone his capital rivals Manchester City as kings of the EPL next term. While United bolstered their squad last summer and winter transfer window, Mourinho is expected to add one or two marquee signings in the upcoming window.

According to Manchester Evening News, Jose Mourinho has prioritised the signing of a central midfielder next summer. The signing of Alexis Sanchez means he has changed focused from the attack to the midfield.

Michael Carrick has been given an appointment in the back room of Manchester United and he is expected to assume his new off-pitch position next summer. Meanwhile, speculations are rife over the future of Marouane Fellaini, making the signing of a central midfielder essential.

Several top-notch midfielders have been thrown into the fray as possible signings for Man United next summer amongst whom are Marco Verratti, Arturo Vidal, Julian Weigl, Fred and Jorginho but personally, Verratti appeals to me more as the best probable signing.

Verratti is currently represented by Mino Raiola, the same agent for Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and several other top-notch footballers. Jose Mourinho has a good rapport with Raiola and he can take advantage of that to lure to Italian to the Fortress of Old Trafford.

Verratti was linked with a move to Barcelona last summer but who would not want to play in the Premier League or under Jose Mourinho. If United makes the right offers for him, he can be signed to play along Paul Pogba in midfielder.

According to transfermarkt, Verratti is valued at £63.00m.
