Manchester United manager José Mourinho has revealed his plan to bring Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal to Old Trafford this summer. The Portuguese tactician believes the Bayern Munich player is the perfect replacement for Michael Carrick who is reportedly set to end his career by the the end of the campaign and he has made the Chilean is prime target when the summer transfer window begins.
According to the Express, United are ready to renew their interest Vidal after failing to sign the star player in 2014 when he turned down the opportunity to move to Old Trafford. The Express also report that the 30-year-old midfielder has made up his mind to leave Allianz Arena this summer with just a year left in his initial contract with the Bundesliga Champions.
Bayern have reportedly reached an agreement with Shalke for Leon Goretzka services ahead of next season and that could push Vidal down the pecking order when the 2018-19 season begins.
Meanwhile, Manchester United youngster Marcus Rashford has been linked with a move to Real Madrid as the Spanish giants are keeping a close eye on his situation at Old Trafford. Rashford 20, hasn’t been in the best of form so far this season and that has affected his chances of playing more regularly in a star-studded Manchester United.
The addition of Alexis Sanchez in January has further reduced him to a fringe player for the Red Devils. He is therefore tipped by reporters to move out of Old Trafford in search of more first-team actions.
