Jose Mourinho has finally signed Nemanja Matic from Chelsea as he continues to bolster his squad but the United boss is still very much keen on bringing a winger to Old Trafford.
Manchester United have refused to let go of their interest in Real Madrid star Gareth Bale and have also been heavily linked with Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic this summer but have failed to reach an agreement with the Serie A giants for the Croatia international.
However, it appears Bale is top on United’s transfer list. They have missed out on him twice, including a failed attempt to sign him before he moved to Real Madrid from Tottenham in 2013 and now Mourinho has shown interests in signing him, but according Spanish media outlet Don Balon, Real’s asking price seems to be on the high side for the Portuguese boss and is ready to play the waiting game.
The report claim Mourinho will submit a bid for the Wales international only if he makes public his intention to leave the Santiago Bernabeu with the hope that Real will lower the transfer fee. But the pacey winger has continued to reiterate his desire to remain with the La Liga and Champions League winners.
However, he could be forced to change his stand if Kylian Mbappe moves to the club. Real are interested in signing the teenage sensation from Monaco this summer and that could make them sell Bale.
He is currently valued at 80,00 Mill.€ according to transfermarkt.
