Jose Mourinho is not satisfied with the display of his attack this season and he has lined up several players he wants at Old Trafford in the summer. Top of his target is Brazilian and Chelsea attacker Willian, this is according to ESPN.
The decline of Wayne Rooney and injury of Zlatan Ibrahimovic has left a huge void in the attack of Man United. To reinforce that area of his squad, the Red Devils are in the need of two attackers and Willian is one attacker greatly admired by Mourinho.
Willian became prominent with Shakhtar Donetsk where he shone, he moved to Anzhi Makhachkala but his career took a low as he sustained injury and did not play much during his two-season spell with the club. Willian joined Chelsea in the summer of 2013 under Jose Mourinho and was key to the Blues conquering the League in the 2014/15 season.
Since the arrival of Conte last summer, Willian has been a bit-part player despite scoring 10 goals in all competition. He’s featured in 29 Leagues games this term but he’s started in only 13. Mourinho wants to salvage his career after the report claims a link up is most probable because the Portuguese tactician has prayed to Ed Woodward to sign the player.
Willian has pace, skills and plays with precision. Despite being left on the bench most times, he will not lack suitors but Chelsea would not want to sell an asset. Notwithstanding, it will be difficult for Willian to resist the advances for Mourinho since he’ll get regular playing time at Old Trafford.
