Jose Mourinho sanctions deal for 37-goal deadly striker – Not Griezmann

Since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson from Old Trafford in the summer of 2013, the Red Devils have had dwindling fortunes both in the Premier League and in Europe. There have been different managers but non has been able to bring back the glory days for Man United thus far.

Among the managers appointed post-Fergie, Jose Mourinho has the most loaded managerial Resume  but the Portuguese tactician is yet to have a complete squad of his choice. He was involved in a spending spree in the transfer window of last summer but apparently, he may even spend more this summer.

The latest player heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford is Borussia Dortmund free-scoring striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The deadly striker, who has been in blistering form, is also on the transfer radar of Paris Saint Germain, reports Starsport.

Aubameyang was heavily linked with a move away from the Signa Iduna Park last summer as Arsenal and Real Madrid were credited with interest but he opted to remain put with the Bundesliga side. It is understood that he will make a move if the right offer comes for him this time.

United are already linked with a move for top La Liga stars Antoine Griezmann and James Rodriguez but non of the aforementioned names play as an out-and-out striker. Mourinho is looking for a long-term replacement for the injured Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The report claims Aubamyang has been offered a deal in far East China that would make him the highest paid player in the world and it is understood that his relatives are urging to favor a move to China.

Aubameyang stands shoulder high as one of the most prolific goal scorers in Europe at the moment. He boasts of 37 goals in 44 appearances for Dortmund this term.
