Manchester United will face an uphill task in keeping January signing and club’s highest earner Alexis Sanchez.
Sánchez has been a shadow of the top figure he was at former club Arsenal, before joining United in January in a swap deal.
The Chilean continues to struggle at Old Trafford and hasn’t racked up anything notable under his belt since he joined last season.
Sanchez has been pushed to the side by youngster Anthony Martial, after happening on a good form this season, since suffering backlashes from Jose Mourinho earlier this season and the previous campaign.
Sanchez has managed just four United goals since joining from Arsenal in January, a far cry from the decent performance he had put in his former club.
It is understood the Chilean,29, is keen on leaving the Manchester club since he can’t claw out of the hole he’s dug for himself.
Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with a move for the forward, but Mourinho is confident he will remain at United.
The manager explained that rumours carrying his withdrawal from United are false, as the 29-year-old has said nothing about leaving to him.
“I don’t think so,” Mourinho said. “Because he never told me that he wants to leave or isn’t happy to stay”
However, if he was raring to leave, Mourinho says he would glad hold the exit door open for him.
