Jody Morris reveals how 10-goal Barca target will be a Chelsea first team player next term

After his impressive displays for the Blues U18 side, Callum Hudson-Odoi has seen his value risen up among Chelsea faithfuls, who are clamoring for his inclusion in to the club’s pre-season squad this summer.

The 17-year-old was phenomenal in the young Blues race to the season’s FA Youth Cup trophy, scoring ten goals in the competition.

Hudson-Odoi has played two League matches for the Blues this season under Antonio Conte but the fans want to see more of the young winger in the starting lineup next season.

Despite the recent calls from fans, the youngster could be loaned out in the summer just as the Blues have always been doing with their bright stars.

According to his manager Morris, Hudson-odoi still has many things to learn in the modern football and he might be too young to feature for a big club like Chelsea. The U18 manager further reveals that the young versatile player has got lots of talent in him but he only needs some time to mature in the game so as to reach his full potentials for both club and country.

“He’s still got a lot to do,” Morris said. “He’ll get a lot of plaudits tonight because he showed, in glimpses, that he’s got real, real quality. But he also showed in other glimpses that he needs to mature and he needs to follow instructions. So he’s got a lot to learn and so have a lot of the players on the pitch.

“But he’s certainly got a chance if he keeps his feet on the ground and he matures properly because there’s a young kid there who’s got a fantastic amount of talent and nobody would want to see him succeed more than me. I love what I see him do with the football at times but you also want to shake him at times.

“I think we need to see what the manager thinks come the summer, or what’s going on because he’s been in and around the first team a lot now. I don’t think that there’s just one person that makes the decision.” Morris said to Newsmen, according to Football.London.

Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus have been linked with a possible move for the England international this summer but they might only get him on a loan deal as the Blues won’t want to partway with him, considering his talents and exploits for the young Blues this season.
