Manchester United have been handed a massive boost in their quest to bolster their squad after reports revealed that Bayern Munich have told their transfer target Jerome Boateng that they won’t stop him from fulfilling his transfer dream.
Amongst the best centre-backs in the world, Boateng ranks top and at 29, he can play actively for another five years.
Boateng joined Bayern Munich from Premier league side Manchester City in the summer of 2011 and he has led the Bavarians to the Bundesliga title in all the seasons he’s spent with the side. The Germany centre-back has won all the available domestic title to add the Champions league title and there is nothing left for him to conquer.
The player fueled speculation over his future recently when he claimed he had “experienced everything” with Bayern Munich and it is was claimed that he has set his sight on returning to the Premier league but with Manchester United.
United are looking to sign a more assured centre-back and they have been linked with a move for Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld but since Boateng is now available, he would be a better option methinks.
Bayern’s CEO Karl-Heinz Ruminegge spoke we newsmen recently and he revealed that they would consider offers for the player.
“His thoughts about leaving Bayern still exist, as his agent has told me.” reports Thehardtackle.
“We know that this topic might be approaching. When a club is interested and Jerome says that he wants to join this club, we will consider it. I don’t hide the fact that we have a financial threshold, but it won’t be low for sure. But I know that Jerome is thinking about leaving.”
Boateng is valued at 45,00 Mill. € according to transfermarkt.
