Chelsea possess great habits at winning titles, and Jamie Carragher, Sky Sports Pundit, has warned that the Blues should not be written off easily.
The Blues have yet to concede any defeats this season, and will look to continue their winning form when they return to Premier League action on Sunday, away at Southampton.
Chelsea top their Europa Group L after Morata’s goal–the only goal in the match–saw off Hungarian champions Vidi in a pulsating atmosphere at Stamford Bridge.
The transformation going on at Chelsea is remarkable. Weaseling a chunk of ball possession, and raiding opponents defences with multiple attacks was uncharacteristic of this same squad under Conte last season.
Chelsea have taken off well under Sarri’s instructions, and looks like the only team that can cause Liverpool and Manchester City to stumble this season.
Spurs, of course shouldn’t be struck out, but Carragher believes the Blues have the upper hand.
He told Sky Sports, “I wouldn’t write off Chelsea.
“They have a great habit of winning trophies, certainly early in a new manager’s reign.
“Spurs as well, after a bit of a wobble, are only four points off the top.
“But I think it will be difficult for Spurs to challenge for the title with their squad depth and how many players went to the World Cup but I wouldn’t write off Chelsea with Eden Hazard in the form he’s in.”
