Manchester United have drawn into the longest transfer saga of this summer after several attempt to sign their transfer target Ivan Perisic continues to fail.
Ivan Perisic has been on the transfer radar of Man United from the opening of the transfer market but United have seen bids for the player rebuffed by Inter Milan and the player is keen a move.
The Red Devils had made an offer of £35million which was rebuffed and after increasing it to £44million, the San Siro Club have refused to let down their guard. It is understood that Inter Milan have asked Man United to include Anthony Martial on a loan deal before they will lower their asking price, according to report.
Mourinho is currently short of options in the final third and it is not looking like he will allow Martial leave anytime soon. However, he has urged the French star to be more consistent with his game in order to stake a claim in the first team of United.
Transfer market web have claimed that Inter Milan are resolved to holding on to the impressive winger unless Man United are willing to meet their terms.
Mourinho has already bolstered the squad of United with the signing of Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku, but the Portuguese manager has bemoaned the lack of transfer activities since then.
Perisic scored 11 League goals for Inter Milan last term and he is adept and providing crosses for his attackers.
