Ivan Perisic may continue to be in the transfer news of Man United until the close of the transfer window. He became a familiar name for the Red Devils fans since Inter Milan’s refusal to let go off him despite United’s offer for him and the speculations have refused to leave the media wave.

Man United dream of landing the Croatian attacker is hinged on an irresistible offer and the signing of a replacement by the San Siro Club, this is the claim made by Inter Milan’s manager Luciano Spalletti, according to Skysports.

Man United have made offers for the player but reports have indicated that it is short of the Nerazzuri’s valuation of the player. We understand the Inter Milan are holding out for £50million but the Red Devils have only offered to pay about £40million.

United have spent excess of £100million in the signing of Romelu Lukaku and Victor Lindelof, which could be why the Chief of the Red Devils Ed Woodward seem frugal.

Spalletti recently reckons that the player could move but on the condition that they find a replacement and United make a good offer.

“The status quo is that we want to keep Perisic. He’s an important player and we’re counting on him to start the new season.

“Having said that, if someone comes in with a very difficult offer to reject, then we’ll consider that. But we’ll need to find a valid alternative to Perisic too.”

Considering the age of Perisic,  £50million is not too much to sign him. He can still play actively for the next four-years but he might not quickly adapt to the rigours of the Premier League, same way Mhkitaryan is yet to stake a claim in the attack of United.

Perisic plays direct football and is adept and providing crosses, which will come handy for Romelu Lukaku.

  1. I really do not think Woodward is going to make any further signings, I believe all the transfer gossip releases is just a smookscreen to keep supporters happy. I do not expect any further signings, if I am correct then would it not be nice to be told the truth instead of giving supporters false hope. Hope I am wrong,
