Chelsea on-loan midfielder at AC Milan Tiemoue Bakayoko has had his appalling statement about his future invite plenty of scrutiny.
Bakayoko was shipped to AC Milan in the summer under former boss Antonio Conte. Although, he is set for a return when the season is over, but the Frenchman is looking to make the San Siro his permanent camp.
The France international failed to nail a regular start under Conte and was shipped to Milan, where he has continued to warm the crowd, despite being one in the eye for Chelsea fans.
Milan have an option to sign the 24-year-old permanently in the summer and Bakayoko is warmed up by the prospect of it happening.
Asked if he was eyeing a return back to Stamford Bridge, since he was underperforming under Conte, following Milan’s 2-1 win over SPAL, the Frenchman parried talks off a comeback, saying he couldn’t say.
However, he they were dashes of excitement in his comments when he said: “I’m happy because I’m playing well with the team. The future? I’m happy here but it’s not my decision, it’s Milan and Chelsea’s.”
But a talk about stretching his spell at the club will be underway at the end of the Serie A season.
Milan’s trumping win over SPAL took them up to fifth-placed in the Serie A table.
