Arsene Wenger has a major decision to make this summer as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has emerged as a shock Chelsea target. The Blues are reported to have declared their intention to lure the England international out of the Emirates stadium.

It was earlier reported that Chelsea are willing to pay in the region of £35 million for Chamberlain who is in the final year of his Arsenal contract. However, it is now reported that Antonio Conte’s side have made another conscious step in recruiting the versatile attacker.

According to Goal, the 23-year-old is angling for a £150k-a-week package if he is to ditch Arsenal for Chelsea. Chamberlain currently earns £65k-a-week at Arsenal and was reportedly in talks with his club for a new contract but it is believed that both parties are yet to reach a common ground over a new deal.

The attacker was a key figure in last season’s FA Cup triumph in which he helped defeat Manchester City and Chelsea to lift the prestigious Cup. He has started off strongly this season as he was the man-of-the-match in the 4-2 home win over Leicester city last season.

Most Arsenal fans are angered about the possibility of Chamberlain switching to Chelsea as they feel the star has not done enough for the club during the injury ravaged six years he has spent since his £15 million move from Southampton.

Liverpool are reported to have made an enquiry over the player’s availability but we wait to see where he ends up this season.
