Tottenham Hotspurs striker Harry Kane has revealed why they can beat Man United at the Wembley today.
The Lillywhites play host to Man United and they will be hoping to take another three points as they aim to seal a place in the top four of the log.
Meanwhile, United are in a good run of form since the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – the Red Devils have won their last five games in a row but the game against Tottenham is the toughest test for the Norwegian manager hitherto, his side will be looking to prove a point.
A win for United with a four goal margin will see them topple Arsenal to fifth place on the table and put more pressure on Chelsea. However, Kane has revealed why they are in pole position to thumb United.
“United will come and try to play with a lot of energy because they haven’t played in midweek, and we have to make sure we match that,” Kane told Sky Sports.
“When we match their intensity, keep the ball and make it hard for them, that’s when we can do damage.”
Pochettino has been tipped to replace Jose Mourinho on the long term at the end of the season but Kane also claimed the players are behind their manager to continue his impressive spell with them.
“We are fully behind the manager, we love the way he works,” Kane added.
“We’ve built a great team and a great unit over the last three or four years.
“It’s down to us to continue that and take another step forward. We are still in all the competitions. It’s about turning that into a trophy.
“He’s a great manager, but he’s a great guy off the pitch as well. He treats you like a friend, but he earns that respect from you.
“He’s great to talk to, but, most importantly, he is a great coach and we all want to play for him.”
