How Man United can beat Man City to the EPL title next season – Deco reveals

Former Chelsea midfieder Deco has made a case for Manchester United to dethrone their City rivals Manchester City as Champions of the Premier League, according to report.

Manchester City shattered several records to clinch the Premier League title this season – they scored the most goals in the League ever, conceded the least goals, surpassed Chelsea’s record for points and finished 19-points clear of second placed Manchester United.

United started the season brightly but were thrown out of the competition with City when the shockingly lost to Huddersfield Town in the match day 9 of the League. Nonetheless, the Red Devils were able to secure the second spot of the League.

While Pep Guardiola earned plaudits from several quarters of football for what he’s achieved at Man City this term, Deco reckons that the Citizens will be unable to replicate the same feat next season.

“It’s not normal in the Premier League, what Manchester City did,” said Deco.

“Man United had a good competition.

“Many times it’s not so good, but I think Man City did so well it would be difficult to repeat another season like that.

He also added that United need to bolster their squad with a few addition to become better positioned for the title.

“Man United needs to stay in the right way, they have good players, maybe two or three new players for the next season.

“But I think they are doing well.

Jose Mourinho has revealed that he will be in the market for the signing of midfielder(s) and they are already linked with the signing of some star player.
