‘How Lacazette is better than Aubameyang’ – Brian McBride makes huge claim

The signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang by Arsenal has turned French forward Alexandre Lacazette to second best but ESPN FC pundit Brian McBride, has revealed that one thing in which Lacazette is better at than Aubameyang, according to reports.

Aubameyang has started ahead of Lacazette in the Gunners last two Premier League games in which he has scored one goal. While McBride believes Auba is a better all-round player, he is of the opinion that Lacazette is a better player in the box.

Lacazette has scored only one goal in his last 13 games for Arsenal but some pundits and fans have blamed Arsene Wenger for his dip his form – the fervent substitution while Giroud was around played on his morale and confidence but i think he has quality from his displays we have seen.

Aubameyang joined Arsenal from Borrussia Dortmund in a £60million deal and while fans and pundits believes he’s worth the fee, McBride also believes, the Gabonese star will succeed at Arsenal.

“I think Lacazette is a much better player inside the penalty area for opportunities,” McBride said.

“I think Aubameyang is very good at finding space himself, making runs, creating openings for himself.

“I’d say Aubameyang is a very good finisher. I think he’s better than Lacazette. “I think he gives them that ability to play the ball over the top.

“But also, and I’ve been saying this for years, Giroud’s a hold-up player; that’s not what Arsenal need. Giroud holds the ball up and then gets in the penalty area.

“Arsenal need a player to use space in behind, it’s been that way in the past, it hasn’t changed under (Arsene) Wenger.

“I think Aubameyang gives them that, he gives them the pace in behind, but also a very good finisher.”

Arsenal now have a very attack but much work has to be done in the midfield and the defence. The Gunners have managed to win only three of all their away games this season and if not for the acrobatics of Cech against Tottenham, they would have conceded much goals.
