Former Arsenal star player Ian Wright has claimed that the struggles of Man United may have profited the Gunners, according to reports.
Barring the defeat to Manchester City and Chelsea on day 1 and 2 of the Premier League, Arsenal are yet to lose or draw a match and this has got the fans excited about the prospect seen so far.
Meanwhile, for Man United who have spent heavily in the last three transfer window, their start to life in the League this season has been nothing short of unimpressive. United have lost three games so far and they struggled against Newcastle over the weekend.
And United have been ruled out of the race for the title even though the season is very much still young.
Since the reigns of Arsene Wenger at Arsenal, Jose Mourinho has been a rival figure to the club and the fans have always wanted him to fail.
According to the Sun, Wright said:
” Arsenal fans have not had too much to thank Jose Mourinho for over the years. But for once, they have every reason to be giving the thumbs up to the Manchester United boss.
“All the spotlight for the past month has been on Mourinho. Before that it was very much on how Guardiola and Klopp were going to battle it out for the Premier League title.
“And that meant Emery could largely get on with it at the Emirates without the glare of the spotlight on his every move.”
United are not in top four of the table now but the season is very much early, with the Red Devils expected to bounce back.
Arsenal will take on Leicester City after the interlull while United will be hosted by Chelsea.
