Arsenal star Henrikh Mkhitaryan has charged the Gunners to win the Europa Cup following an impressive game against Swede side Ostersunds, according to reports.
Mkhi played a key role for Manchester United in their conquest of the Europa League last season, as he scored six goals in 11 appearances.
The Armenian forward also shone for the Gunners as they thumped Ostersunds 3-0 in the first leg of the round of 32 with an assist for Mesut Ozil.
Speaking after the game, Mkhi admitted that he wants to win trophies with the Gunners, including another Europa Cup title.
“It was their first game after a while and because we are in the league and keep playing maybe we are more practiced,” Mkhitaryan told BT Sport.
“They are a good team, tried to play, but we scored two in the beginning.”
Arsenal are currently wallowing in sixth position on the Premier League log and the best chance they have at Champions League qualification is to win the Europa Cup. Mkhi was quizzed on the possibility of Arsenal winning the competition and he replied: “Why not?
“We have to keep fighting and in the end see where we’re at.
“We have to focus on every game regardless of this result to ensure more success.
“Even with the League Cup final, I think we have to play with the same team and win at home.”
Mkhi joined Arsenal from Manchester United in the winter transfer window after falling down the selection perking order of Mourinho. He is assured of more game time at the Emirates but the fans will be hoping he maintains a consistently impressive performances.
