Arsenal suffered a horrible news on Monday with the revelation that Hector Bellerin is set to miss up to nine months and Sven Mislintat will leave the club in February.
Bellerin ruptured his cruciate knee ligament during the Gunners win over Chelsea. The standard time of recovery for the rupture of an ACL is said to be between six to nine months.
Several outlets have revealed that he cannot be fit for the pre-season of next season or even the start of the season unless by a miracle.
This has come as a massive blow for the 23-year-old, who has been a key figure in the squad of Unai Emery this season.
The Spanish full back rediscovered his form since the arrival of Emery. He has five assists in the Premier League for us this season, one less than Aaron Ramsey, who has the highest.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles is expected to step into the big boots of Bellerin. He has pace and can be very physical but his biggest undoing is the fact that he plays like nothing is at stake and tends to be non challant.’
Meanwhile, Arsenal announced the imminent departure of Mislintat, who has helped us to sign some notable names in the squad of Emery.
Most people are disappointed that he is leaving just less than 18months of his arrival but we hope the club continues with his good work or get someone on board with the same level of expertise.
