Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil won’t be going anywhere in January. The Gunners playmaker was heavily linked with an exit away from the Emirates after seeing a drop in his starts this campaign.
Ozil is Arsenal’s highest earner and talks spreading about his staggering display was pegged down to his wage which boss Unai Emery has rejected.
It was suspected that Ozil would switch to another club in January after a reported fall out with Emery.
Notwithstanding, his agent has ruled out the outcome and has insisted his player will not leave the Londoners.
Dr Erkut Sogut, Ozil agent cleared the air on the player’s future at Arsenal, saying the midfielder is not eager to leave Arsenal as news outlets have suggested in recent weeks.
: “I would prefer not to speak publicly about Mesut’s situation but, given the recent speculation linking him with a move away from Arsenal, I do feel it is important to provide some clarity, so we can end this and focus on football.
“Mesut signed a new contract last January, because he saw his future at Arsenal, and nothing has changed in his mind.” Sogut said.
He added the German international is 100percent committed to Arsenal and staying extra years is etched on his mind.
“He loves the club, shares its values and does not want to be anywhere else.” he added.
