Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure joined the Hornets in 2016 winter, but he didn’t feature for the Premier League club as he was immediately loaned out to Granada in the Spanish league.
The 25-year-old returned to the Premier League earlier this season, and he has been phenomenal for the struggling Premier League side so far this season. Despite the team’s poor performance, Doucoure has scored seven goals and two assists.
His wonderful performance has endeared him to Arsenal and Liverpool according to reports, and both clubs are ready to compete for his services when the summer transaction period returns.
While reacting to the rumours linking him to either Liverpool or Arsenal, Doucoure confirmed that both clubs made an official approach to his agent during the winter transfer window, but he didn’t think about their offers as he is focused on his Watford career.
He further revealed his love to play for the Gunners in the future when asked in a rapid fire Q&A. He claimed that his childhood dream was to play for the North London Club due to his love for Arsene Wenger who has been a great manager for the team.
The midfielder is available for selection on Saturday when the Hornets travel to the Goodison Park for their clash against Everton.
