Good news world class CB snubs move to Ligue 1 to play for Arsenal

Arsenal captain and defender Laurent Koscielny has put down interest from French Ligue 1 club Monaco to join them this month.

Koscielny has been kept out of footballing action since he suffered a blow to his achilles.

Monaco are looking to claw out of the dug out that they have found themselves in the French top-tier.

The former Champions League semi-finalists have experienced a flag in their performance this campaign and face a tough relegation battle.

New boss Thierry Henry is keen on strengthening the side. Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has moved in after Chelsea sanctioned the switch this week. But Henry is still raring to stuff his side with experienced players.

Monaco had approached Arsenal defender Koscielny and were hopeful Gunners would flog him.

But the veteran guardian has rejected a move to join the French side, according to reports.
