The transfer saga between Manchester United and Seria A over Ivan Perisic move is likely to drag on, but it now appears that the San Siro giants are willing to sell the player only for the right price.
Man United have been heavily linked with a move for Perisic but the offers made for him were thrown out by the Nerazzurri, though, there were wide spread speculations that United met the player’s valuation last week but the San Siro Club rebuffed the latest £44m offered by the Red Devils.
Although, the player is currently with Inter Milan in their pre-season tour in Asia, he had sounded out to his Club that he wants out but Luciano Spalletti’s men appear to be playing a hardball over the players move, as they have held on to their £50m valuation for him.
Man United have spent over £100million in this transfer window, and the difference in the amount rebuffed by Inter Milan and Perisic’s valuation is not worth sweating over. If Inter Milan are truly holding out for £50million, it should not be a huge problem for the free-spending Jose Mourinho.
Meanwhile, Inter Milan technical director Walter Sabatini revealed the United’s offer is still short of their asking price.
“You all know what we want,” Sabatini told Sky Sports Italia when quizzed about Perisic.
“The right offer has not yet arrived.”
Mourinho has bemoaned the lack of transfer activities after the signing of Lindelof and Lukaku as he wants one or two more signings.
