Good news for Chelsea as Mauro Icardi has decided on quitting Inter Milan in January

Mauro Icardi sits comfortably at the top of Chelsea’s January shopping list for their striking berth, as Sarri is keen on shaking up things in the club.

The Blues suffered a sharp sting last weekend. They were pelted 3-1 by Spurs at Wembley on Saturday, ending their unbeaten run.

The Blues didn’t look armed to the teeth, and despite boasting an excellent midfield and a potent attacking front, they were completely walloped by an organised Spurs.

It was glaring the Blues lacked enough teeth in the front, as shown in the number of shot despatched towards goal.

Sarri needs a bigger lion, one who can pose a bigger threat than attacking duo Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud, despite the latter getting on the scoreboard later in the game.

Inter Milan are keen on chopping off Icardi, which has Chelsea already leaping for joy. But Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda believes they’ll have to tug harder to displace Real Madrid, which have been touted as the outfit to snatch the top scorer up.

ESPN pundit Paul Mariner agrees hammering out a deal with Inter Milan and Icardi will give Chelsea enough spine in the second half of this Premier League campaign.

Chelsea are fourth on the Premier League log.
