The manager of Chelsea Antonio Conte has bemoaned the Club’s lack of transfer activities following Romelu Lukaku’s move to Man United. Since then, the Blues have become more pragmatic, and have completed the signing of Antonio Rudiger and Tiemoue Bakayoko.
Chelsea have now been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Turin’s striker Andre Belotti after the player informed his Club of his desire to leave this summer, reports the Express.
Belotti emerged as a transfer target for Chelsea since they missed out on Romelu Lukaku. Although, they reportedly have interest in Alvaro Morata and Piere-Emerick Aubameyang, it is Belotti who has been dubbed as perfect replacement for the transfer bound Diego Costa.
Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri claims that Belotti has informed the Seria Club that he wants out of Turin for bigger challenges, as he claimed on twitter.
Chelsea are currently without a striker as they travel to Asia for their pre-season tour today, leaving Conte condemned to sign a striker. Costa was informed by Antonio Conte that he does not fit in his plan for the upcoming season and the Spanish striker has since been training on his own.
Borrussia Dortmund released a statement earlier on Tuesday that Aubameyang would not be sold and Morata is currently with Real Madrid’s team in their pre-season tour, leaving Belotti as a top and available choice for Chelsea.
However, Chelsea may need to fork out as much as £80million before Belotti would be allowed to switch Club.
