Good news: Chelsea in talks to agree £44.5M transfer deal
Davide Zappacosta is likely to exit Chelsea next year, but the Blues have already put a back up in place.
Hysaj Elseid has been handpicked as the player to have his place at the west London club.
Elseid is reportedly valued at £44.5 million pounds by Napoli, but the former Empoli player could see his price fee haggled by Chelsea before the turn of the year.
Chelsea want to argue down his price tag with Napoli. It is understood Sarri is interested in the right-back, and has informed Chelsea’s bigwigs about nabbing him.
Sarri wants to reunite with the Albanian defender and it is understood Elseid feels the same way.
The former Empoli star has notched up more than 150 games since moving to the Napoli three years ago. However, he is tied to Napoli until 2021.
Chelsea were restricted from signing more players in an agreement with Napoli, after they raided the club in the summer.
However, the Blues are still keen on stealing Elseid away from the club, after moves to sign in the summer was totally botched.
Elseid has won 43 caps for Albania since he was called into the team in 2013.
