Good news: Arsenal are favourites to seal deal for £48m-rated Man United target

The Thomas Lemar to Arsenal transfer speculations are back yet again, and it is now reported that the Gunners are set to launch another bid for the winger for the umpteenth time.

After reportedly seeing bids in the region of £30 million and £40 million hurriedly rejected by AS Monaco, French news source Le 10 Sport are now reporting that Arsene Wenger is set to table yet another bid for the star winger. The details of the bid are not stated but it is believed that Wenger is set to finally match the asking fee for Lemar believed to be in the region of £48 million.

There is a dearth of transfer targets for Arsenal as they are mainly linked with a move for Lemar, but the both clubs are yet to reach an agreement. However, same report suggests that Monaco have finally come round the idea of selling the 23-year-old..

Lemar recorded 14 goals and 17 assists in 55 appearances last term but he has failed to replicate same form in this campaign, although he has recorded an assist in the three games he has played thus far.

Arsenal’s lose to Stoke City has roughened the papered cracks in the Arsenal team, with the fans demanding that Wenger signs Lemar to add bite to their attack.

Man United are also credited with interest for the star but there are indications that he’ll favour a move to Arsenal because of the presence of his several of his compatriot at Arsenal.
