Antonio Conte is not happy with Chelsea’s hierarchy due to the small size of the club in terms of players. The Italian coach has publicly called on the Blues’ board to get some players in January so as to provide more quality to the team, per reports.
The coach has consistently praised his current crop of players for their wonderful performances so far this season. The Italian tactician praised his players’ commitment and dedication to the team’s objectives. According to him, his players are very committed to the team’s cause of winning matches despite the fatigue caused by the hectic festive period.
“They are showing me great commitment, great behaviours, and I’m very happy to work with these players,” he uttered. As a result of the busy fixtures, Conte has pleaded with the board to financially support him so that he will get his targeted players during the upcoming transfer window.
He admitted to being unhappy and that he enjoys working with his players, but he would love to add some players to the squad. “I’m enjoying working with these players,” he said.
Chelsea were unable to get all of Conte’s targets in the last transfer market. The coach believes that the team would have fared better in the League table if all his transfer wished were granted. As things stand, the English Champions trail leaders Manchester City on the Premier League standings, and would have to fight to win their title for a second c0nsecutive time.
