Gonzola Higuain is due to arrive London today for his medical with Chelsea, reports Calciomercato.
Since the opening of the January transfer window, Higuain has made the headline of all Chelsea’s transfer reports. It appears that he is on the brink of sealing the move with the Blues.
The Argentinean is currently on loan with AC Milan from Juventus and he has laid bare his desire to link up with former boss Maurizio Sarri.
Higuain played under Sarri at Napoli, where he enjoyed the form of his life. He scored 36 goals in 35 League matches. Although he is experiencing a dip in his current form, Sarri believes in the abilities of the striker.
The Italian boss has resorted to playing Eden Hazard in an unfamiliar false nine position, this is largely because of the poor forms of Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata.
Milan are prepared for the departure of Higuain. They are on the cusp of signing Krzysztof Piątek from Genoa to fill in the void that’d be left by Higuain’s departure.
Meanwhile, Both Higuain and Piatek were left out of their team’s squad that played over the weekend and Calciomercato (via IlBianconero) have claimed Higuain will arrive London today to finalise his move which includes a medical.
