Chelsea new signing Gonzalo Higuain has revealed he can’t wait to link up with former teammate Jorginho, per reports.
The Blues confirmed the signing of Higuain from Juventus on loan on Wednesday following a long drawn saga involving the deal.
He may continue lacing his boots for Chelsea next season if they sign him on a permanent basis.
Although Chelsea have signed Cristian Pulisic from Borrussia Dortmund, Sarri made the signing of Higuain his priority for this window.
While the fans of Chelsea are excited over the arrival of the 31-year-old Argentinean, he has revealed his delight to be reunited with former Napoli teammate Jorginho.
“It was my best year as a player and he’s a wonderful midfielder who contributed to that,” Higuain told Chelsea’s official website.
“He’s also a very good friend of mine so it’s a real pleasure to once more be joining up with him, and I hope we can achieve great things together again.”
During his spell at Napoli, Higuain scored a staggering 36 goals in 35 League games and Sarri still believe he can replicate the same form.
