Jose Mourinho has refused to back out of his pursuit of Gareth Bale and he is desperate to bring him to Old Trafford this summer.
Mourinho is keen to reinforce his attack after signing Nemanja Matic to bolster the midfield and he has urged United hierarchy to make a bid of £100 million for the Real Madrid talisman as per reports from the Sun.
Mourinho and Man United are huge admirers of the Wales international, and while the Old Trafford outfits have failed in their many attempts to sign the former Tottenham star in the past, the Portuguese boss believes an offer in the region of £100 million could tempt Real Madrid to do business with the Europa League winners.
The United coach had earlier gave up on signing Bale this summer after he featured for Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup 2-1 win over Man United on Tuesday but according to the Sun, Mourinho believes the deal could still be done this summer if Real succeed in their attempt to sign Monaco talented youngster Kylian Mbappe.
Real have been on the trail of the 18-year-old French attacker and his arrival could see Bale moving towards Santiago Bernabeu exit.
There are also reports that Mourinho is of the opinion that offering Bale a club-record £500,000 per week could tempt him to move to Old Trafford.
Bale joined Madrid from Tottenham in 2013 for a then world-record fee of £83 million and has won the La Liga and the Champions League among other trophies.
