Manchester United have been leaking with goals this term. The Red Devils have conceded 32 times already this term, four more than they allowed last term.
United have begun hitting a good pace since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer grabbed the reins of the outfit in December.
But they will still need to string things together in their heart of defence.
Last term United tried signing Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld and also attempted to bring over Leicester City’s England international Harry Maguire, but they were knocked down in their bids.
United trail away from Champions League qualification at sixth place and interim boss Gunnar is already joggling options for his defence in the market.
United have they eyes set on Roma star Kostas Manolas. The Greek international has been catching the eyes at the club and plans are said to be in the wings to sign the enterprising defender.
Manolas has stated his desire to leave the Italian capital after long bouts for a trophy failed to yield nothing.
And adding to that, the 27-year-old is likely to be picked up ahead of Milan’s Skriniar and Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly, who has been named a target for top European clubs.
