Antonio Conte has reportedly expressed interests in signing Paris-Saint Germain midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak
Conte is not resting on his laurels to sign more players before the transfer window shuts at the end of this month.
The Italian manager has brought in Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Alvaro Morata and Willy Caballero this summer but his squad still look light in numbers and he has reiterated his desire to bring more players.
However, he is yet to make a breakthrough in his attempts to bring in another player, with Arsenal not willing to let go off Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Leicester City’s valuation of Danny Drinkwater appears to be on the high side for the Premier League champions.
As reported by the Sun, Chelsea have shifted their attention to Krychowiak since they have been priced out of signing Drinkwater by the Foxes. The former England champions are not ready to lower their asking price of £40 million for the English midfielder as Chelsea, according to the report, have had their bid of almost £20 million turned down.
Though it is believed a deal for Krychowiak, who was a former Arsenal target while playing for Sevilla, could materialize, the French giants are only ready to let the Poland international go on loan following their world-record signing of Neymar from Barcelona.
It is understood that Conte wants another midfielder to make light the workload of N’Golo Kante, Cesc Fabregas and new arrival Tiemoue Bakayoko.
According to transfermarkt, the player defensive midfielder is valued at 25,00 Mill. €.
