Forget Chamberlain: Antonio Conte to sanction €70m deal for highly rated South-American star

Chelsea are looking to try a last ditch effort in their quest to sign Brazil international and Juventus left back Alex Sandro, according to reports.

Sandro was a subject of bids from Chelsea earlier the summer and despite the colossal offers made, the Old Lady have refused to let their guard down in the player’s transfer.

Chelsea were willing to make Sandro the most expensive defender in the world but Juventus had rebuffed their £52m bid for star. However, reports have now surfaced that the Blues are preparing to offer £64m (€70m) to Juventus as they look to prise the star away from Turin.

Antonio Conte has already bolstered the squad of the Blues but their shambolic start to season stirred rife panic and he was reportedly handed a £130million transfer war-chest to reinforce his squad. With 9 days still left before the close of the window, we are bound to see one or two new faces at the club.

Conte is looking for options for his wing back positions. Although Marco Alonso impressed against Tottenham last weekend, Sandro would be a huge improvement upon Alonso.

Juventus had rebuffed three offers made by Chelsea for the player but the Blues might secure the player’s services for £64m (€70m) as they believe, claims Calcimercato

However, latest revelation according to Juventus chief executive Giuseppe Marotta reveals that the player want to stay put with the Old Lady.

He said: “He said he wants to stay here, so we sent the offers right back where they came from.”

But money rules the current transfer window and anything is yet possible.
