Among the top guns of the Premier League, Chelsea are yet to confirms the signing of any player but the transfer window is not even opened yet and so, Conte still has a lot of time to seal off any deal.
Latest report have indicated that Chelsea have agreed terms with Argentina international and former Manchester City goalkeeper Willy Caballero, this is according to the Metro.
Chelsea are currently without a second choice goalie after allowing Asmir Begovic depart Stamford Bridge for Bournemouth earlier this month so as to play regularly.
Cabellero, 35, is expected to play second fiddle to Thibaut Courtois. He rejected a year’s contract extension with the Citizens and was among the players released by Man City at the close of last season.
Nonetheless, before Chelsea won the race for his signature, Cabellero was linked with a return to his boyhood Club Boca Juniors, claims the report.
Man City had a somewhat exodus of players from the Etihad. Zabeleta, Jesus Navas, Gael Clichy and Bacary Sagna were among the players given matching orders from Man City.
Cabellero may not play regularly for Chelsea, but the keeper is understood to be happy at the prospect of remaining in the Premier League.
Caballero has pulled off so many stunning stops, blocks and finger-tip acrobatics this season. He made a total of 26 appearances for Man City this term.
