First January signing: Sarri’s £33m transfer target agrees to join Chelsea in January

Gonzalo Higuain has agreed join Chelsea in January, this is according to latest reports.

The weakest link in the squad of Chelsea has been their impotent attack. The Blues have had a relatively good season but Hazard has been the player that has rescued them for the most part.

Although, the Blues are currently lying in fourth place on the Premier League log, they are only two points ahead of Arsenal. Sarri is poised on cementing a place in the first quartet of the league at least and he needs a potent striker that will complement the efforts of Hazard.

Higuain thrived under Sarri in the 2015/16 season when he scored 36 goals and the pair are on the verge of reuniting.

Higuain is currently serving a loan term at the San Siro with AC Milan and his form this season has left so much to be desired. He has managed only two goals in his last 10 games but Sarri has described him recently as a wonderful player.

According to Sport Mediaset, Higuain has requested to leave Milan for Chelsea when the January transfer window comes alive and Juve will accept any bid for him.

The Metro also reports ” One option for Chelsea would be to take over AC Milan’s loan agreement with Juve and sign Higuain on a temporary deal until the end of the season and have the option to make the move permanent for €36 million (£33m).”

Alvaro Morata is expected to move AC Milan in a loan deal.
